Stay Named: Google and AI listing monitoring for Toronto shops
Google and AI change every month. Ctrl+F keeps looking, so you stay found and named.
Last updated November 2026 by Thomas
Getting your storefront right is step one. Keeping it right is the work. Google tests new layouts all the time, AI assistants change how they choose, and anyone can suggest an edit to your listing. I watch all of it for you.
Who it's for
- Owners who've had their free check, and their fixes, and want them to keep working
- Shops that depend on new customers finding them every month
- Owners who'd rather spend their time on their craft than on Google
What I watch on your listing (every month)
- Are you still found? Your rank when someone nearby searches what you do, checked from about 1 km away.
- Are you still named? Whether Google AI Mode and ChatGPT name you when customers ask.
- Did anything change without you? Hours, category, address, map pin and phone. Google and the public can suggest edits to your listing, and they sometimes go live.
- What's new around you? New competitors nearby, new reviews waiting for a reply, photos customers have added.
- Does your booking link still work?
What I watch in the industry (every week)
I follow what Google and the AI assistants are changing and testing, and I test changes on my own business first. When something affects you, you hear it from me, in plain language, with what to do.
Your monthly report answers four questions:
- Are you still found?
- Are you still named?
- What changed on your listing?
- What changed in Google and AI, and does it affect you?

What I don't do
No fake reviews. No promise of #1. Nobody honest can promise a ranking, on Google or in AI.

Google and AI don't stand still. Here's what I've noticed lately, and what it means for a local shop.
October 2026. Google is testing showing business posts higher up on business listings.
What it means for you: fresh posts may soon be one of the first things customers see.
SourceOctober 2026. AI Overviews now appear on most Google searches.
What it means for you: many searches now start with an AI summary, before anyone sees a list of businesses.
SourceOctober 2026. Google is expanding AI-powered messaging on business profiles.
What it means for you: how quickly and clearly you answer messages may matter more.
SourceApril 2026. Google's AI Mode can now book restaurant tables in Canada.
What it means for you: for restaurants and cafés, being bookable online is now part of being chosen.

Questions
Is this the same as Google Business Profile management?
It includes it. Stay Named monitors your Google Business Profile, your Maps rank and whether AI assistants name you. Seasonal Window adds the hands-on management: posts, photos, updates and review replies. For Toronto small businesses.
Why does my listing need watching? I set it up already.
Because it doesn't stay still. Google tests new layouts, AI assistants change how they choose, and anyone can suggest an edit to your listing. Most owners only find out when a customer says, "Google said you were closed."
Do I need to do anything?
Read a one-page email once a month. With Seasonal Window, I make the updates too.
Can you guarantee I'll stay at the top?
No, and be careful of anyone who does. I can make sure your storefront stays accurate, current and easy to trust. That's what Google and AI look for.
What if something urgent changes?
You hear from me right away, not at the end of the month.
